Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings

We are pleased to have been appointed by Historic England to complete infrastructure works as part of the Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings restoration scheme.

Our works, which began on Monday 22nd June 2020, include the construction of a new access road to the Mill and upgrades to the existing A5191 that runs to the front of the Mill. The works also entail the creation of a new entrance into the site and the enlargement of the mini-roundabout at the junction of Sultan Road and Spring Gardens.  Two new zebra crossings and a new coach drop off and collection point will be created. Works to improve adjoining footpaths will also be carried out, as well as works by utility companies.  There will be temporary traffic lights in place along the main road.

Our general working hours will be 07.30hrs to 18.00hrs Monday to Friday, however we may need to work some Saturdays, if this is the case our Saturday working hours would be 08.00hrs to 16.00hrs.

It is anticipated that our works will be completed in February 2021. However there will be two additional nights of work in March 2021 which will involve road closures, dates of which will be communicated to local residents.  This may be subject to change or delay.
