Yeovil Western Corridor Improvement Scheme

Griffiths has been appointed by Somerset County Council to deliver the Yeovil Western Corridor Improvement Scheme, designed to improve cycle and pedestrian facilities on the western side of Yeovil, along with capacity improvements to  major junctions and roundabouts.

The Yeovil Western Corridor Scheme is a package of improvements to transport links along the western side of the town and has been developed over a number of years to accommodate planned growth in the area

These improvements include the Lysander Road Roundabout, Westlands Roundabout, Bluebell Roundabout, Preston Road Roundabout and Copse Road junction, as well as better links for pedestrians and cyclists across the area.

Initially we will be starting our compound site set up at Lysander Road Roundabout within the field area and then moving onto the highway verge areas undertaking trial hole investigation works to locate the utilities. These works will not impede the traffic flows and works up to Christmas will cause minimal disruption to the local area, as they will be mainly offline works within the verge areas and cycleway extension works at Stourton Way.
