Dyffryn Taf Construction Students Brave the Rain to go Behind the Scenes
The option to study WJEC Constructing the Built Environment Course at Dyffryn Taf School Whitland, has offered students the opportunity to not only learn about building construction but also to experience the world of civil engineering at first hand.
Working in partnership with Griffiths, pupils enjoyed a ‘behind the scenes’ visit to the Cross Hands Economic Link Road currently under construction by the company.
‘We are delighted to host this visit to share the extensive works that are involved in the planning and delivery of a new road,’ commented Site Manager, Gavin Powell.
Despite the unsettled weather conditions students were able to enjoy a tour of the site and meet members of the team. PPE kit has been donated to the school for future use.
