Carmarthen West Link Road
Works to Carmarthen West Link Road now completed!
The completion of the Carmarthen West Link Road which opened 8th March 2019 provides an important gateway to the town of Carmarthen. The road is 1.7km in length and connects the A40 at Travellers Rest with College Road in Johnstown, improving access to key employment sites at St. David’s Park, The University of Wales Trinity St. David and Coleg Sir Gar and serves the new S4C headquarters Yr Egin; as well as opening up land for new homes and a primary school.

Favourable weather has enabled good progress of the construction works with in excess of 3200m of kerbs, over 6000 tonnes of sub base and 3000+ tonnes of tarmac laid.
